Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using Sekilas ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

Sekilas is a wedding photo sharing platform that allows couples to collect photos from their wedding guests through QR code-based uploads.

2. Service Description

Sekilas provides the following services:

• A unique QR code for couples to share with wedding guests
• A photo upload interface accessible via QR code scanning (no guest login required)
• A private gallery where couples can view, download, and manage uploaded photos
• Cloud storage for wedding photos for the duration specified in your chosen plan

3. Plans and Pricing

We offer two pricing tiers with multi-currency support:

Users may upgrade from Basic to Premium at any time for RM 100 / $30 / S$40 / ₹2,000. Upon upgrade, you get unlimited uploads, the upload window extends from 30 to 90 days, and gallery access extends from 6 to 12 months.

Pricing is displayed in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR), US Dollars (USD), Singapore Dollars (SGD), or Indian Rupees (INR) based on your location. Currency can be changed during registration.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Payment is required before your wedding gallery QR code is activated.

3a. Bulk Purchases and Redemption Codes

Bulk Purchases: Wedding planners, event organizers, and agencies may purchase multiple wedding packages at volume-discounted rates:

• 5-9 weddings: 10% discount
• 10-19 weddings: 15% discount
• 20+ weddings: 20% discount

Redemption Codes: Bulk purchases generate unique redemption codes (format: SEKILAS-XXXXX-XXXXX) that can be distributed to couples. Each code:

• Can only be used once
• Is valid for 1 year from the date of bulk purchase
• Activates a wedding gallery immediately without requiring payment from the couple
• Is non-refundable and non-transferable between plans
• Cannot be converted to cash or credit after the bulk purchase is complete

Bulk Purchase Terms: Bulk purchases are subject to the same refund policy as individual purchases (no refunds). The purchaser is responsible for distributing codes to clients before the 1-year expiration date. Expired codes cannot be reactivated or refunded.

Code Redemption: When a couple redeems a code, the wedding gallery activates with the plan tier (Basic or Premium) associated with that code. The gallery expiration date is calculated from when the gallery is activated (6 months for Basic, 12 months for Premium), not from the code redemption date.

4. Payment and Refunds

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Event cancellations or postponements
• Low guest participation or photo uploads
• Change of mind after purchase
• Unused gallery access time

You are responsible for ensuring you select the correct plan and event date during registration.

5. Photo Upload and Storage

Upload Limits:

• Maximum file size per photo: 20MB
• Accepted formats: JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, HEIC (images only)
• Rate limit: 30 uploads per hour per IP address
• Per-guest limit: 30 photos per IP address

Storage Duration:

Photos are stored for the duration specified in your plan (6 months for Basic, 12 months for Premium) from when you activate your gallery. After the expiration date, your gallery and all uploaded photos will be permanently deleted. We will send reminder emails 30 days and 7 days before expiration.

Important: You are responsible for downloading and backing up your photos before the expiration date. We are not responsible for any data loss after expiration.

6. Photo Ownership and Rights

Ownership: You (the couple) and your guests retain all ownership rights to photos uploaded to Sekilas. We do not claim any ownership or rights to your photos.

License to Sekilas: By uploading photos, you grant Sekilas a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and process the photos solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We will never share, sell, or use your photos for marketing without your explicit written consent.

Guest Uploads: By providing the upload QR code to your guests, you represent that you have permission to collect and store photos uploaded by them. Guests who upload photos grant you permission to view, download, and use those photos.

7. Privacy and Security

Gallery Access: Your gallery is accessible only via a long, unguessable private URL (UUID-based token). This URL should be kept confidential. Anyone with access to this URL can view your photos.

Guest Privacy: Guest uploads are anonymous. We do not require guests to create accounts or provide personal information beyond what is automatically collected (IP address for rate limiting purposes only).

Data Collection: We collect only the information necessary to provide the Service: your name, email, phone number, event date, and payment information (processed securely through Stripe).

8. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
• Upload content that infringes on any intellectual property rights or privacy rights of others
• Use the Service to distribute spam, malware, or viruses
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, photo limits, or other restrictions
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access or upload to the Service
• Share your gallery for commercial purposes

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms and to suspend or terminate accounts without refund.

9. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available."

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice. In the event of permanent service discontinuation, we will provide at least 90 days notice and a method to download your photos.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sekilas and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Any loss or corruption of photos or data, regardless of cause
• Service interruptions, downtime, or technical failures during your event
• Unauthorized access to your gallery by third parties who obtain your private URL
• Content uploaded by your guests that violates laws or third party rights
• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sekilas, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party rights.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email and update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
